Toy Fairs are always an exciting time for Schleich fans, offering a sneak peek at upcoming releases and limited editions. This year, we attended the Australian Toy Fair and got an exclusive first look at the Schleich stand. From new wildlife and farm world models to the long-awaited Legacy Horses, Discover Sets and more. Let’s take a closer look at what’s coming from Schleich this year!

Wild Life and Farm World Animals

It wouldn't be a new Schleich year without new animals! 2026 boasts an impressive lineup of animal figurines that will be a first in the world of Schleich, including the Capybara and a colour-changing Starfish! My personal favourites are the Budgie, Sea Lion and Capybara - make sure these are on your wishlist! 

Horse Club Additions

We are pleased to announce 2026 is bringing back the material for Schleich horses that makes them more sturdy and less prone to plastic warping. The beautiful new Horse Club models match perfectly with childhood horse heroes (Can you spot Spirit and Noni the Pony?), and with exciting new poses to discover, these will be sought after by horse collectors of all ages!

New Legacy Horse Range

Horse collectors are going to go nuts for Schleich’s new 1:12 scale model horse range, offering highly detailed and collectible larger-sized figures. Each Legacy Horse comes in beautiful black packaging, and they won't be available to find everywhere - making them even more special to collect!

New in Bayala

The mystical world of Bayala is expanding with an impressive range of new unicorns, magical creatures and even dinosaurs! If Bayala makes you think all things pretty, magical and unique, you won't be disappointed!

Dinosaurs and Prehistoric Creatures

Prehistoric fans will enjoy the scientific accuracy of the new Spinosaurus, the functionality of the Triceratops (with moving head!) and of course, the launch of new Ice Age figures: the Woolly Mammoth and Smilodon.

New Playsets

While we've noticed Schleich is focusing more on individual models this year, we do have some exciting new playsets coming in 2026.

• The big highlight for us is the Puppy and Cat playsets, each of which are painted in trending colours, ensuring they'll fit right into any existing playroom or dollhouse setup.
• We also see the launch of new Discovery Sets! The first packs are Insects and Sealife. Each set will come with a magnifying glass, so your littles can explore the details of the figurines and discover what's so special about each creature!

More Pocket Sets – Big Fun in Small Packages!

Last year, Schleich launched small play packs that include people figurines, an animal and accessories, making it easier to build collections without needing a full playset. In 2026, we'll see this range expand further, branching into other categories such as Wild Life and Bayala!

Eldrador

The world of Eldrador is heating up with budget-friendly entry-level creatures like the Shadow Lemur and Stone Toad, along with bigger, standout pieces with functionality like the Rock Dragon and the Ice Crab (with working pincers!).

 

Wizarding World 

Harry Potter fans will be thrilled with the new additions coming this year. We're seeing more unique characters in toy form, such as Neville with Mandrake and the Basilisk. These models will set Schleich apart from other toy brands on the market, allowing you to expand your collection like never before!

Exclusive Models - coming to Australia!

2026 is a very exciting year for Schleich collectors in Australia, with MiniZoo being selected as an exclusive distributor for Schleich Limited edition items! We're so pleased to share that the Lunar New Year Horse, Valentine's Day Fjord Horse, Rose Gold Rabbit and more will be joining our range, allowing access to special editions easier (and cheaper) for Aussie collectors.

Schleich’s 2026 Holiday Reindeer is truly magical, featuring a radiant rose gold nose and matching antlers. This festive figure is sure to be a holiday favourite!

Mini Mates

...and the last items we have to show from the Fair are the Mini Mates. These adorable pocket-sized animal figures embody a whole range of emotions, from the Grumpy Goat to the Cheerful Piglet, kids will adore these wide-eyed animal toys. The Mini Mates come in a blind bag.

Final Thoughts

The Schleich 2026 range is shaping up to be one of the most exciting lineups with such a variety of figurines coming throughout the year! With stunning limited editions, collector-worthy models and new ranges to discover, there’s something for everyone to look forward to.
