Q. Can I be notified of sales in advance?
A. No, sales are only advertised on the day they begin. We want a fair system for all customers equally.
Q. Can you reserve items?
A. We don’t reserve products - all products are sold on a first in, first served basis. We do however have a notification list for customers who are particularly interested in new items. We email those customers on the list when the product arrives into stock.
Q. Can I make changes to my order once it has been placed?
A. Unfortunately no. Your order goes through a number of automated processes once placed changes cannot be made after this time. Please check your cart carefully before submitting the order.
Q. What scale are the animals?
A. The scale of the animals varies greatly, although the most common scale is considered to be 1:20. Wherever possible we have included the exact measurements of each product in the product description. You can also read this blog to see the comparison of sizes between the brands.
Q. What are the products made from?
A. The figurines from our most popular brands are made from PVC (plastic) and painted with non-toxic acrylic paints. Please refer to our Toy Safety page for information specific to each brand.
Q. What age are the animals suitable for?
A. Most of the products are suitable for ages 3+. There are exceptions to this and we recommend you refer to our Toy Safety page for information specific to each brand, or read the individual product descriptions for further detail.
Q. Does MiniZoo have a store front that I can physically visit?
A. MiniZoo is an online business with a warehouse that we ship from as opposed to a traditional retail store. Online orders can be picked up from the warehouse upon arrangement.
Q. How do I make a wishlist public?
A. Just follow these easy steps.
1. Click 'Account' at the top of screen and then 'Wishlists' in the account section.
2. Click 'New Wishlist' for a new wishlist OR Click blue ‘Rename’ button for an existing wishlist.
3. Select ‘Make wishlist public’ and click ‘Save’. This will take you back to the Main Wishlist Screen
4. Click ‘Share’ button
You will see a new screen with a URL link. Simply copy that link and send it to your friend. They can then click the link (or copy and paste it into their browser) to bring up the wish list items :)
Q. Do you ship internationally?
A. Yes, we ship to almost every country in the world. If you can select your country from our shipping page then there's no problem! See our International Shipping page for further information.
Q. My figurine doesn't stand up or has a bent piece. How do I fix it?
A. A common problem with PVC figurines is plastic warping. This often affects long thin sections such as legs and horns. To straighten simply heat the model with warm water or a hairdryer, then hold the part in the correct position while running under cold water. This resets the plastic in the correct position. Repeat if necessary. If a part has broken off we recommend using a 2 part quick drying epoxy glue (such as araldite) to repair. Ensure the pieces are clean before applying glue. In larger pieces it is often helpful to drill a small hole in the two parts and insert a metal pin (such as a cut off paperclip) before applying glue and pushing the two halves together. Pinning provides significant additional strength.

Q. Are retired products for sale?
A. Yes - the retired flag simply means the manufacturer has stopped making this product. You can still buy it from MiniZoo but we will eventually run out and won't be able to get any more of that item.
