With fine hair details and a hand-painted finish, this 1:15 scale replica toy Tasmanian Tiger is a must have figurine for any collector!

The Thylacine (or, Tasmanian Tiger) was the largest recently living marsupial carnivore in the world, but is unfortunately now widely believed to be extinct. The jaw of the Thylacine could open to a 120 degree angle and it used this ability to defend itself against threatened danger. The very last Thylacine known to man died from exposure to the cold in 1936 after it was left outside of it's enclosure one night at the Beaumaris Zoo in Hobart. The Thylacine has become an iconic symbol of Tasmania and highlights the need to protect native animal species.

Southlands Thylacine

The only Thylacine I've seen in real life is the replica based on real preserved specimens, behind the bar of the Hahn Brewery in Tasmania. Now I finally own this figure i can stay it's a dead ringer for the once living animal. It display really well next to the Southland Thylocoleo and you can't help but notice if perhaps the thylacine was inspiration for the Thylocoleo's fur pattern. well worth getting.
