With fine hair details and a hand-painted finish, this 1:15 scale replica toy Tasmanian Tiger is a must have figurine for any collector!
The Thylacine (or, Tasmanian Tiger) was the largest recently living marsupial carnivore in the world, but is unfortunately now widely believed to be extinct. The jaw of the Thylacine could open to a 120 degree angle and it used this ability to defend itself against threatened danger. The very last Thylacine known to man died from exposure to the cold in 1936 after it was left outside of it's enclosure one night at the Beaumaris Zoo in Hobart. The Thylacine has become an iconic symbol of Tasmania and highlights the need to protect native animal species.

The only Thylacine I've seen in real life is the replica based on real preserved specimens, behind the bar of the Hahn Brewery in Tasmania. Now I finally own this figure i can stay it's a dead ringer for the once living animal. It display really well next to the Southland Thylocoleo and you can't help but notice if perhaps the thylacine was inspiration for the Thylocoleo's fur pattern. well worth getting.

I'm studying at biology faculty and when our teacher was talking to us about, unfortunately, extinct thylacine, I've dreamed that once I will receive at least just figurine, that would show all thylacine's anatomy features.
And when I've got my replica, I was just: "Oh my God, it's the live thylacine, just a little version!"
And so I'd like to thank you very much for this wonderful figurine. It is also so pleasant that it is a male, because CollectA already has a sweet female. But I will hope that we'll see another girl from Southlands! ;)
About figurine: it is the best thylacine figurine among current brands. There we can see all the features of this wonderful animal: wide opened jaws, short metatarsus, long low tail. The face details deserve more attention: mouth is full of sharp tooth, nose has deep nostrils, eyes are beautiful. Also figurine has wonderful fur details, the painting is very, very and very nice!
And so, there is no reason not to buy this boy!
